Counseling
Thinking about counseling,
or maybe that it isn’t for you because things are just
fine? Did you know that a mind that is not emotionally
balanced (part of the wheel is missing or flat) is one
that is ripe for developing chronic disease, or one that
interferes with one’s own body being able to heal fully
from disease? Integration of body, mind and spirit is
essential in expressing personal health, and our
counselors are here to work with you to achieve those
goals.
Northern Illinois Medical Group counselors know that, now
more than ever with the upheaval in our economy and modern
day thinking, holistic care that encompasses all areas of
our lives is the best approach to “reconnect with
ourselves, each other, and our environments”,
strengthening our resolve to be disease free. Rejoining
those fragmented, but absolutely connected areas, is
essential.
This is where counseling becomes an important part in
healing. What we think and feel affects our body’s cells.
How we manage change, crisis, and stress in our lives
affects illness in our physical body. No matter what our
age, we are all affected by our environment, but we each
handle situations differently. NIMG is unique in that we
deal with unique patients daily, and we don’t take you for
granted. We provide counseling for individuals, couples,
adolescents and children for a multitude of conditions and
situations. Our goal is to help you overcome your
challenges in life, survive difficult events, and
experience a more joyful and productive life.
Whether you are looking for family and/or marriage
counseling, stress management, or chronic ailment coping
strategies, to name a few, one of our counselors is here
to listen and consult with you. We are not here to judge,
we are here to help our patients experience what it’s like
to have a well rounded, healthy life.
